Cybersecurity Analyst
Job Title: Cybersecurity AnalystLocation: Hybrid (On-Site/Remote)Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance or higher
Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team and help protect mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in cybersecurity within the Department of Defense (DOD) or United States Air Force (USAF), an active Secret Clearance (or higher), and hold an IAT Level 2 certification. This role operates in a hybrid work environment, requiring on-site presence at least part-time.
Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity threats and incidents to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information systems.Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement mitigation strategies to strengthen system security.Maintain and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures in compliance with DOD regulations and frameworks.Perform system security audits and risk assessments to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure design and implementation of IT infrastructure.Support security authorization and accreditation processes, ensuring systems meet DOD/USAF standards.Provide user training and technical support for cybersecurity tools and best practices.Stay current with emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies.
QualificationsRequired:Active Secret Clearance or higher.IAT Level 2 certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GSEC, or equivalent).At least 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on threat detection, mitigation, and compliance.Strong understanding of DOD cybersecurity policies, including RMF (Risk Management Framework).Familiarity with tools such as SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection solutions.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Highly Preferred:Previous experience working within the United States Air Force (USAF) or Department of Defense (DOD).Knowledge of USAF-specific systems and protocols.Familiarity with classified network environments and compliance standards.
Work EnvironmentHybrid Schedule: This position requires flexibility to work both remotely and on-site. Candidates must be able to report to the designated on-site location as needed.Collaborative team environment with opportunities for ongoing professional development and advancement.
