Cybersecurity Analyst

Position Overview:

The Cybersecurity Analyst will support our cybersecurity team in safeguarding HomeServe’s information systems and data. This is junior-level, hands-on role that involves assisting with the day-to-day monitoring, maintenance, and management of security tools, systems, and policies. The Junior Cybersecurity Analyst will work closely with team members to learn and apply cybersecurity practices, respond to potential security threats, and help mitigate risks under the guidance of experienced cybersecurity professionals.

 

Responsibilities:

Works with the HomeServe business units and with other risk functions to identify security requirements, using methods that may include risk and business impact assessments. Assist in the monitoring and management of security tools and systems, including responding to security incidents and inquiries. Support the analysis of security alerts and help implement preventive measures. Assist in the administration of the information security mailbox and ticket queues. Contribute to regular security assessments and identify potential vulnerabilities. Collaborate with team members and IT to update security processes, documentation, and policies. Defines security configuration and operations standards for security systems and applications, including policy assessment and compliance tools, network security appliances, and host-based security systems. Participate in security awareness training for employees and contribute to documentation and reporting as needed. Help with the analysis and response to phishing and other security threats.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree preferred not required 1-2 years of experience or relevant coursework in cybersecurity, IT, or a related field. Familiarity with information security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and concepts. Basic understanding of network infrastructure and security principles. Eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic cybersecurity environment. Passion for cybersecurity and an eagerness to learn from senior team members. Familiarity with basic cybersecurity concepts, including security tools and common security threats. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and work collaboratively with IT and business departments. Basic knowledge of network protocols and operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) is a plus. Willingness to support our company’s mission of providing excellent service to customers and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Salary Range: $72,207.22 - $96,276.68

Annual Bonus Potential: 5%
