General Responsibilities

Lead the infrastructure security team. Support the organizations' ongoing infrastructure security initiatives, ensuring that best practices for security and risk management are implemented and followed. Ensure execution and compliance with control procedures related to their respective job responsibilities according to approved limits and delegation of authority. Communicate to appropriate channels any situation that could result in non-compliance with laws, regulations, policies and procedures.

Ensures execution of all key controls including but not limited to SOX controls for role as per assigned roles within established procedures and within approved delegation of authority and authorized limits. Responds to and reviews all escalations or deviations that may be brought to his or her attention. Reports any exceptions to established internal controls and documents any employee.
 

 

Performs duties through methods and actions that are consistently ethical and in total compliance with the laws, applicable regulations, Code of Ethics, corporate policies and guidelines and rules of conduct. Completes corporate trainings and certifications intended for the detection and prevention of money laundering related activities and fraud, insider training and conflict of interest policies and procedures, as applicable.

 

Education and Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in information security engineering or related field, coordinating projects
• Previous Strong Leadership Experience.
• Experience working with Group Policies is required. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), preferably.
 

 

Knowledge and Skills Required

• Establish Information Security controls for Open Systems and Databases. This includes working with team members to implement controls through Group Policies or other technical means and designing and implementing controls around database security.
• Organize, plan, and prioritize the work of others.
• Establish specific objectives in alignment with the strategic objectives received by the manager.
• Develop different activities to ensure the unit accomplishes its objectives.
• Evaluate projects and daily tasks to establish priorities.
• Evaluate resources workload and reassign tasks to comply deadlines.
• Assign security service tickets; distribute workload among employees.
• Guide, direct and motivate subordinates.
• Conduct periodic meetings and provide directions to keep employees focused on their responsibilities, reinforce process and controls, and alert of any situation encounter. Train, coach and evaluate employees to improve efficiency and ensure conformance to standard procedures and practices, ensuring optimal customer service.
• Guide the staff to achieve their objectives.
• Motivate the staff to ensure they are continuously working towards the established objectives in conformance with standard procedures and practices, ensuring optimal customer service.
• Assess the team's training needs; train or facilitate the necessary training to an adequate performance of their daily tasks and to develop their functional competencies.
• Monitor processes, materials, or surroundings: Supervise the execution of the daily process of systems, monitoring the functionality of Information Security Access Control systems.
• Document/Report information: Revise the documentation of daily processes. Document detailed processes execution.
• Document management tools reports about the functionality of systems. Prepare administrative reports.
 

 

Additional Information

Monday to Friday 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM 

Available to work extended hours, weekends and/or holidays as needed and the availability to travel as required supporting projects in the region.
