Title: Cyber Security Analyst

Location:  Springfield, VA

McIntire Solutions is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to support our Springfield Customer.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Support cyber operation activities to maintain and share timely situational awareness of: enterprise network topology active threats, vectors, and actions that could adversely affect the enterprise; mitigation plans, and overall health and status of enterprise defenses.Maintain collaboration between Cybersecurity operations and other entities for enterprise situational awareness and reporting.Generate cyber threat products based on known, perceived, and understood threats affecting enterprise.Receive and generate information system security alerts, advisories, and directives for designated external organizations for information environments, networks, and systems.Performs cyber incident triage to include determining scope, urgency, and potential impact; identify the specific vulnerability and make recommendations which enable expeditious remediationTracks cyber actions from initial detection through final resolutionAnalyzes and assesses damage to the data / infrastructurePerforms cyber operations trend analysis and reporting

Required Qualifications

Minimum Education: B.S. or equivalent experience in related fieldMinimum 2 years of relevant experienceCNDSP-IR (GCIH, CSIH, or CEH) certification requiredIAT Level II (GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security) certification requiredProficient in Windows and Linux operating systemsUnderstanding of latest security principles, techniques, and protocolsAbility to function in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously; coordinating resources and ensuring scheduled goals are metExcellent verbal and written communication skills are requiredAbility to effectively interact with various levels of senior management is necessaryAbility to make decisions and resolve problems effectively – seek out information and data to evaluate, prioritize and formulate best solution or practiceMust be able to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team, share workloads, and deal with sudden shifts in project priorities
