Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Cyber Materials Science Engineering Intern for Summer 2025 (May-Aug) to support our Cyber Trust & Analytics team. This position is full-time, 100% onsite, located in Columbus, OH.

Our high-powered computer labs include specialized software and hardware, so our engineers have everything they need to invent new Cyber solutions.

Responsibilities Collaborate with the Cyber Trust and Analytics team to:Aid in the design and implementation of machine learning, data mining, data fusion, and data engineering techniques applied to cyber microelectronics security problemsAssess the security, reliability, and trustworthiness of electronic devices, integrated circuits, and embedded systemsSupport the latest Cyber Trust and Analytics team’s research and development programsLearn and improve your engineering skills through project and team building activitiesConduct and / or participate in assigned technical tasks and activities with minimum supervision and within time and budget constraints.Work independently and effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environmentEffectively communicate ideas with other engineersKey Qualifications Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate degree program in Materials Science Engineering or related field of studyAt least 1-year of college-level coursework completedAbility to demonstrate organization, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skillsInterest in one or more of the following areas:Digital design and microcontrollersVLSI Integrated circuit designSemiconductor device fabrication / physicsIntegrated circuit failure analysisSignal ProcessingFamiliarity with operation of laboratory equipment; for example: Focused Ion Beam (FIB) systems, Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM), or integrated circuits (IC), or sample preparation equipmentExperience with microscopy in a laboratory setting Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearancePreferred Qualifications Ability to apply learned skills to real-life scenarios (e.g., research, publication, blogs, GitHub, Arxiv, Kaggle competitions, internships, hack-a-thons, cybersecurity clubs, CTFs, etc.)Traditional electronics lab equipment supporting component or module test and debug activitiesExperience in a clean room Experience with semiconductor fabrication and analysis processes
