Collins Aerospace is seeking motivated new graduates interested in careers in embedded system and software design, aiming to explore advanced and emerging research in cyber security. The primary responsibility of this role is in the design and implementation of new technology innovations in securing cyber physical systems. The candidates will have an opportunity to build prototypes of new defense technologies and apply them to real-world systems. The person in this role should be self-motivated and familiar with Linux as well as popular programming languages. As part of our team, candidates will have the opportunity to significantly contribute to new research and technology development with the ultimate goal of transitioning early prototypes to real-world products.
What You Will Do:
Design, implement, and evaluate software in C++, Python, Rust, and/or Java languagesConducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with other designers in the planning, design, development of security technologyIntegrate and evaluate novel security technologies aboard embedded systemsWork closely with cross-functional research teams to evaluate the effectiveness of early software prototypesPresent research accomplishments in the form of a demonstration and written publicationQualifications You Must Have:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is requiredU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
