Operate machinery to apply insulation / shield to cable or wire.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Review documentation / work orders
· Set up machinery / processes in Tower, pay off and take up areas (assigned area)
· Operate machinery in assigned area
· Clean and reassemble machinery in assigned area
· Monitor controls, materials, and processes in assigned area
· Monitor quality of production
· Load / replace materials in assigned area
· Change out product and slice product for continued production
· Repair machinery and prepare components for machines in assigned area
· Coordinate other repairs with maintenance and engineering
· Operate power moving devices, change propane cylinders
· Communicate with supervisor
· Direct helpers
· Document processes
· Communicate with supervisor
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience in the wire & cable industry a plus but not required.
· High school degree required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
· Understanding of production procedures
· Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g., constant use of protective gear)
· Analytical skills
· Attention to detail, Teamwork and communication skills
· Physical stamina and strength
