Description We are in search of a diligent Customer Service Representative I to join our team in BALTIMORE, Maryland. Serving as a critical point of contact for customers, your role will involve processing inquiries, maintaining detailed records, and ensuring a smooth customer experience in our industry.
Responsibilities
• Provide accurate information to customers regarding their impounded vehicles to facilitate and expedite the return, auction, or disposal of the vehicle.
• Guide customers through required procedures and documents for the release or signing over of their vehicle to the City for auction or disposal.
• Scrutinize customer documents such as vehicle registration, driver’s license, and insurance coverage to verify their validity and authenticity.
• Use the Department of Motor Vehicle database to find information about liens on the vehicle or outstanding parking or moving violation tickets.
• Review official forms such as police reports, towing receipts, and inventory control forms to ensure completeness and consistency.
• Determine the necessary documentation and procedures to authorize the release, auction, or disposal of a vehicle based on specific vehicle impoundment circumstances.
• Schedule administrative hearings required to resolve disputes regarding impounded vehicles.
• Provide superior customer service, maintaining accurate electronic records and ensuring efficient processing of customer requests.
• Use office software to maintain and manage customer data effectively.
• Perform related tasks as required, maintaining a high standard of professionalism and efficiency. Requirements
• Proficiency in indexing documents and files
• Knowledge of handling electronic records and databases
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Experience in filing and maintaining records, both electronic and physical
• Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on providing superior service to all customers
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers effectively
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Problem-solving skills to address customer issues and concerns promptly and professionally
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks and responsibilities.
