What You'll Do:

The Customer Service Representative is primarily responsible entering and managing customer purchase orders, processing expedite requests, preparing shipping documentation and invoicing. 

 

What We're Looking For:

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 

Serve as Primary point of communication with domestic and international customers and Regional Sales Managers regarding order status, timing of shipments, and product related notifications.  Facilitates order fulfillment with internal departments including Quality, Production, Shipping, Engineering, sales, finance and production planning. Assist Regional Sales Managers by providing information they may require  Enter Purchase Orders (PO) received from customers in a timely manner.  Verify information on PO corresponds with internal documentation and confirm with customer, and then invoice.  Manage expedite and/or cancellation requests from customer working with production scheduling team.  Conduct contract review of peer PO creation & documentation Be the company contact for smaller less frequent customers for virtually all items including quotations, revision changes, and order to cash matters while strengthening customer relationships. Review customer complaints and process returns as required. Create and manage new part numbers in operating system.  Manage Customer supplied components.  Assist with debt collection (past due invoices)  Other duties as assigned. 

 

DESCRIPTION OF MARGINAL DUTIES: 

Observe and promote Company standards and policies on safety, quality, and productivity  Utilize PowerBI system to assist in order management, customer AR, and product item details Assist with annual physical  inventory.  Assist in shipping if needed (processing shippers). 

 

Skills That Make a Difference:

Successful completion of four-years of high school, or equivalent, plus some additional specialized training.  Up to and including three months of experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.  Basic understanding for customer inventory and purchasing programs such as Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), Consignment, and Kanban. Six Sigma Green or Black Belt (preferred)  Previous customer service experience  Experience in a manufacturing environment with significant exposure to a fast-paced environment (preferred)  Lean Manufacturing (preferred)  Finished medical device company experience (preferred)  Experience with QAD or other ERP system (preferred) 

 

Other Guidelines: 

Demonstrated excellent (written and verbal) communication and effective human interaction skills.  Possess the ability to solve problems in an efficient fashion. Flexible to change, and possess a high degree level of integrity and “can do attitude”.  Willing to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals  Ability to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner.  Able to convert units of measurement, add, subtract multiplication and division.
