About the Role
As a Travel Insurance Advisor, you'll be the first point of contact for customers looking to purchase or update their travel insurance policies, including options for single trips, annual multi-trips, or backpacker trips. You’ll follow scripts to guide customers through non-advised conversations, asking targeted questions to gather essential information and ensure they are offered the best policy for their specific travel needs.
Your role will involve handling inbound and outbound calls, gathering details such as the travel destination, medical history, number of travellers, desired cover limits, and any planned activities. By using your expertise, you’ll help customers select the right coverage that suits their travel plans, providing them with peace of mind before their trip.
What You’ll Be Doing
Travel Insurance Sales & Advice: Engage with customers to help them choose the appropriate travel insurance policy (single trips, annual multi-trips, or backpacker trips).Customer Interaction: Handle inbound and outbound calls, asking key questions to understand the customer’s travel details, including destination, medical history, number of travellers, coverage limits, and planned activities.Policy Creation: Use the information gathered during the conversation to recommend the most suitable travel insurance policy for the customer’s needs.Scripting & Compliance: Follow scripts to ensure your conversations remain compliant with regulations, while providing a helpful and friendly experience for customers.Problem-Solving: Address any customer questions or concerns regarding their travel insurance coverage, offering clear solutions and ensuring their satisfaction.Achieving Sales Targets: Contribute to business growth by meeting sales and performance targets while maintaining a focus on excellent customer service.What We’re Looking For
Experience: Previous experience in customer service or sales, ideally in insurance or a contact center environment, is preferred, but we will consider other relevant backgrounds.Customer-Focused: A natural problem solver who enjoys helping others and is comfortable gathering and analyzing customer information to recommend the best solutions.Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to guide customers through the process, ensuring they understand the options available to them.Attention to Detail: Ability to capture accurate information and ensure the correct policy details are provided to customers.Digital Literacy: Comfortable using a range of software tools (Microsoft Office, CRM software, etc.) to track customer interactions and manage policy sales.Adaptability: Ability to follow scripts while tailoring the conversation to meet each customer’s unique needs, ensuring a personalized experience.What We Offer
