Opportunity Overview As a Customer Production Support Engineer, you will play an active role to ensure Teradyne’s commitment to deliver to our customers products that meet their needs. You will collaborate with customers and various teams to create and implement support plans for system installation, training and maintenance with the objective of reducing equipment downtime. You will continue to develop relationships and add value to your customers by providing technical expertise in solving customer problems. + Provide support as a Resident Engineer for a key account, which will require 90% presence onsite + Lead projects or provide technical support at customer sites such as the following activities: + System Repair + New system installation or transfer + Customer system upgrade or retrofit + Conduct Basic maintenance trainings and production support classes (may also conduct at Teradyne offices where system is available) + Participate in productivity improvement program initiatives (e.g. Utilization) and yield improvement + Provide data collection, analysis, SW debug to find out root cause + Document best practices and service work + Develop relations with your customers by actively providing technical support for issue prevention and problem resolution + Collaborate with internal and external resources (including Customers, Cross-functional Field Teams, and Factory) on application and production issues activities + Work with customers on production issues, usage, and system improvements + Work with Sales team and Factory for account and company goals + Work to application engineer colleagues for application related issues that may requires hardware support + Demonstrate problem-solving skills involving complex analysis of undefined issues with ambiguous symptoms + Follow applicable Teradyne process (e.g., SPR) to manage crisis + Provide phone, email, and remote support to customers + Manage cases, time logs, expenses and spare parts inventory in a timely and accurate manner All About You We seek individuals who share our passion and determination.
