Role: Customer Marketing Manager - SPT
Business Unit: Mars Pet Nutrition
Location: Hyderabad
Key Responsibilities:
Define & drive the Customer Nature Type (Pet Shops, Clinics, Breeders) classification and strategy of Assortment, Merchandising & Promotion Responsible for SPT Channel portfolio volume growth & manage the CMM budgets in line with plans Designing & Executing Trade engagement calendar as per the market requirements
Co-create in-store collaterals specific to Channel & Customer Nature and drive execution through the Sales team.
Focus on In-Store branding with best-in-class execution through agency. Constant monitoring of competition activities in the channel and regular updates to stakeholders, thereby refreshing the channel strategy in line with industry practices.
Maintain & drive the Customer Store panel for Dipstick study on NPD launches, execution of activations – promotions & create a workable feedback process
Deriving category & shopper insights & appropriate measures to drive category growth in SPT keeping the lens of CATEGORY FIRST as the fulcrum of customer & shopper engagement
Setup Tie-up plans for the PT channel & drive the same with a high Success rate through the Sales team in respective geographies
Own the Top SPT customer engagement program from concept to execution and gratification settlement with high standards of execution
Cross-functional collaboration with the Marketing team in terms of NPD – launch elements planning, detailed Activity sheet management and driving the execution of NPD elements in market through Sales counterparts
Own up and lead the Sampling program – E2E- Budgets management, Planning of Annual Sampling activity, Vendor management and Performance review Work closely with Omni Channel Manager to drive focus on E-SPT accounts through, activations, sampling & campaigns
Co-ordinate on TE & Scheme effectiveness for SPT Channel, and make necessary recommendations with stakeholders by sharing key channel insights for making the TE work more effectively.
Act as a feeder to the Sales capability manager to share inputs on customizing SPT channel-related skill development needs for teams
Constantly be on the hunt to drive T&L on SPT MKBs and work closely with the sales team on the field with SPT accounts to understand the Category/Shopper trends & leverage the same to share regional/portfolio level insights
On specific vendors, lead the coordination with the MGS commercial team for ways of working & regular reviews.
Job Specifications/Qualifications
Education & Professional Qualification
A business graduate with a total of 8-10 years experience
Knowledge/Experience
Should have worked in customer-facing roles in sales or marketing
Category & Shopper understanding, to create strategic plans for the channel. Org agility to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
Demonstrated high levels of driving key organizational agendas by influencing without direct authority
Sales experience across different geographies/channels preferred
