Our best talent comes from within!** **About this job** The Learning Lab currently supports “Lightning.” Lightning is a new, coordinated way to collaborate and prioritize across all CarMax formats to test, discover and deliver a new (more cohesive and efficient) omni experience. While on the Learning Lab team, Associates will be in a **Temporary Rotation** , subject to a reoccurring business review, and will be in the Flex-CXC job code. As a Flex CXC in the Learning Lab, Associates will work in a fast-paced and innovative environment that continues to deliver an Iconic Customer Experience by incorporating new CarMax technologies now and in the future. You will rely on your functional expertise to adapt and support our customers who are shopping in our Lightning and/or test stores. Flex CXCs in the Learning Lab will be an integral part of the CEC network to support the Lightning Initiative and any future tests. **What you will do – Essential Responsibilities** + Use your knowledge of the CarMax inventory to guide customers towards vehicles that meet their needs. + Ensure a seamless transition from online to in-store purchasing to provide an unrivaled customer service experience. + Take individual ownership of meeting certain Effectiveness, Efficiency, and Experience targets set out for Flex team associates. + Connect with incoming customers from Lightning and/or test stores over the phone or online to discover what they want and need from their next car purchase and progress the interaction to the best next step in the car buying journey. + Acquire the Automotive Salespersons License in specific states – may require testing and travel as some states request physical presence to apply for the license. + Mentor others as your skillset expands. **Purpose of the role** Flex CXCs in the Learning Lab will: + Continue to disrupt the industry by testing and providing feedback on new customer experience technologies to continue to drive our Iconic Customer Experience. + Help customers progress through their sales journey via phone or web + Will be expected to effectively assist multiple customers via a wide range of interactions and test new products to support our customers + Will be expected to deliver an Iconic Customer Experience that includes good listening skills, strong customer focus, proper communicate feedback on products, and provide exceptional teamwork to peers and our Lightning stores + The Flex CXC role will provide a platform for personal growth and development within this innovation space. + Learning Lab rotation is a **Temporary rotation** , subject to a reoccurring business review. Learning Lab Flex CXCs will return to Core Sales and the CXC job code at the end of the rotation which may or may not include being assigned back to their original team or manager, which will be based on staffing needs. ​ **Qualifications and Requirements** + 90 days' experience as a Core Sales Customer Experience Consultant (CXC) required. + Ability to handle change as we innovate and test new products, technology, and behaviors needed to support customers. + Thrive in a fast-paced environment. + Good listening skills and a strong customer focus. + Exhibit Successful Vital Call Behaviors and Sales Consultant Competencies + Ability to work flexible work hours with shifts that may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Schedules will be determined based on business need. The hourly rate for this position is: $18.00 - $26.70 **Benefits:** Except as otherwise required by state law, CarMax Associates are entitled to the following paid sick, vacation, and holiday time. Associates that are considered full-time hourly or commission/incentive eligible: + To earn up to 48 hours of sick time per year accrued on a per pay period basis and between 80 hours and 200 hours per year of vacation time after a 90 day waiting period depending on years of continuous service with the Company. + For 8 hours of pay for each of a total of 6 paid scheduled holidays per year plus 1 floating holiday. If such an Associate does work on a scheduled holiday due to business need, they are eligible for Holiday Premium Pay. Associates considered full-time salaried are entitled to paid time away with no specified limit as needed for sick, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, floating holiday, etc. subject to manager approval.
