CUSTOMER CARE SPECIALIST - Decatur, IL

This is a full time non-exempt position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for proactively maintaining an ongoing relationship with customers and sales staff. Will have daily exposure to customers in a fast paced environment and will be responsible for managing all aspects of customer accounts. Representatives will have exposure to order entry/scheduling, accounts receivable, inventories and logistics management.

RESPONSIBILITIESWork in an extremely fast paced sales environmentEstablish & maintain top-notch relationships with all customersInteract with customers regarding orders, changes, concerns, & documentation needsFollow through on logistics for shipments from origin to destination (bulk & packaged)Enter and maintain sales and purchase contractsProcess invoices and closely monitor all accounts receivableResearch & bill truck detention charges to customersResearch & obtain resolution of customer issuesEffectively manage positive relationships with Account Managers, Plants, Supply Chain, Transportation & Technical ServicesCross training on all CSR responsibilitiesOther reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisorREQUIREMENTSAbility to multi task is crucial to being successful in this job.  Must adapt and perform consistently in a fast paced environment while maintaining a friendly & positive disposition.Exceptional verbal, written communication, & organizational skillsHigh regard for accuracy and attention to detailAbility to collaborate well in a team environment. Must be committed to group goals and objectives and continually seek to improveMust be able to receive direction from others and work independently while managing prioritiesMust be able to confidently make complex decisions & problem solving which impact all aspects of the business  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook requiredWould prefer candidate with strong working knowledge of ADM systems , to include but not be limited to: IBM (OPGO, APGO, A0GO, FCGO, PCGO), MDM Hub, Get Paid, etc.  With the ability to learn web based & other computer applications as needed.Actively expand knowledge of customer business and market conditionsPrefer 2+ years of experience with customer serviceProficiency in clerical skills including keyboarding, data entry, filing, scanning, faxing and photo copyingPhysical requirements include: sitting for prolonged periods of time, operating a keyboard, standing, filing, bending, kneeling, as well as clearly communicating via the telephone & email.Excited about this role but don’t meet every requirement listed?
