General Statement Sports Facilities is responsible for the management of all athletic/sports facilities at Montana State University including the 8,000 seat Brick Breeden Fieldhouse, the 20,000 seat Bobcat Stadium, Shroyer Gymnasium, the Bobcat Tennis Center, 7th & Kagy fields, and the outdoor track. These facilities are multi-purpose and meet the varied needs of the campus and the community. The department provides services for Athletics, Campus Recreation, and Health and Human Development, as well as hosting many events/concerts that come to campus. Duties and Responsibilities Custodians provide cleaning, sanitizing, and light maintenance services in and around the areas managed by Sports Facilities.

This part-time position (up to 16hours/week) will focus on assisting in the preparation of events, maintaining cleanliness during events, and cleaning up after events. Shift times will fluctuate due to the event schedule, but will primarily be evenings/nights.
Other duties this position may be asked to do include: Cleaning public areas (including restrooms) Carpeted and hard-surface floor care Trash removal Other related cleaning/custodial duties Actively contribute to the success of the department by performing other duties as needed in support of the department’s mission


This is a part-time position. Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills Experience working in custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, etc. Experience working effectively with minimal or no supervision. Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills Experience providing excellent customer service. Experience operating floor scrubbers or similar janitorial equipment. Certifications, classes completed, or knowledge of safety procedures utilized in a custodial, janitorial or housekeeping position. Graveyard or nighttime shift experience. The Successful Candidate Will Positively and professionally perform all the functions of the position. Consistently exercise initiative and good judgment. Effectively and safely operate work-related equipment and tools. Accurately follow written and oral instructions and procedures. Exhibit strong communication skills.
