Education and Experience: * High School/GED, Degree requirements, prior experience preferred, but not required * Duties require minimal decision-making * Must successfully complete all technical, administrative, and interpersonal training programs * New incumbents will be allowed up to 30 days to demonstrate skill and ability to perform the job Competencies and Skills: * Must be able to communicate in English verbally and in writing (basic verbal instructions, simple written memos and instructions) * Basic computer skills preferred * Basic problem-solving skills * Knowledge of general cleaning solutions and janitorial equipment * Safely operate motorized vehicles Starting Pay: $15.00/hr Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Clean and sanitize assigned facility locations, including bathrooms & locker rooms which include vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping * Restock soap dispensers/supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas * Empty all trash cans, replace liners and clean receptacles as necessary in all offices areas and bathrooms/locker rooms * Wash windows and dust all surfaces * Maintain janitorial closets in a safe, clean and organized manner * Maintain a thorough inventory of supplies & report shortages * Report any safety or sanitary issues/repairs needing attention to supervisor * Paint designated areas if needed * Shovel snow & spread salt at doorways and sidewalks during storm events * Provide emergency response to accidents or spills throughout the facility * Operate commercial floor scrubbers, carpet cleaners and floor buffers * Assist in setting up/ breaking down employee events * Assist in coverage for staff shortages resulting in working overtime or off-shift * May be required to assist in other capacities in facilities department NOTE: This list presents only the principal duties of the position and is not intended to be comprehensive.
