We have a team of talented engineers located in multiple locations around the world, and are growing rapidly.
Some travel required (10-25%). Portfolio and/or eLearning sample required at interview.
Key job responsibilities
• Design and develop creative, learner-centered, performance-based training materials in multiple modalities including eLearning, blended learning content, videos, tutorials, etc
• Lead the development and implementation of new learning models and content design templates
• Develop rapid and agile techniques and processes to create content for a frequently changing environment
• Lead needs analyses and learning strategy development activities to improve individual and organizational performance through learning
• Develop curriculum using multiple synchronous and asynchronous training modalities, including instructor-led, micro-learning, blended learning, and training materials
• Coach and mentor junior developers in use of tools and instructional design methodologies
• Effectively manage multiple projects and initiatives from analysis to evaluation
• Continuously self-educate on the latest trends and practices in learning
A day in the life
Curriculum Developers are also Program Managers; each CD owns a portfolio of AWS services and their associated training courses and materials. CDs interface with business leaders and internal Learning Business Partners to assess the training needs of their services. CDs are responsible for maintaining existing training content, addressing course feedback, and leading content development and refresh projects. A typical day in this role might involve: communicating with peers and stakeholders, updating project documentation with current statuses, authoring elearning courses, maintaining phased onboarding plans, interfacing with our learning management system to action updates or pull reports, attending meetings, and completing peer QAs.
