Job Description An employer sitting in Santa Clarita, CA is looking to hire an onsite Quality Control (CSA) Civil Structural Architectural Inspector that will be supporting day to day activities. This Inspector will be responsible for providing oversight on testing activities related to all things Concrete, Structure, Architectural (Soil Testing, Concrete Testing, Compaction Testing, Moisture Testing). The project this Inspector will be supporting is responsible for modernizing a new compressor with (4) gas driven engines and a substation that will help to increase the pressure of natural gas into their transmission lines. Currently the project is requiring 350,000 yards of soil and a lot of additional areas and sieve testing, compaction testing, moisture testing, concrete testing and pile installation. This person will be reporting to the Quality Management Team Lead that is supporting this major capital project. This person will also need to be knowledgeable about destructive testing and understanding proper concrete placement. He/She will be working with the Construction team, providing audits and reporting for both the owner's side as well as the contractors. This position will be paying between ($45-$65/hour). Skills and Requirements - 10+ years of experience in Quality Control, in related Civil, Structural, Architectural field - Experience reviewing ITP's, Test plans and providing oversight on Construction projects for both owner's and contractors work - Any related project experience for Compressor Stations, Refineries and/or major facilities - Understanding of Soils Testing, Sieve Testing, Concrete Testing, Compaction Testing, Moisture Testing etc. - Familiarity with pile installations, concrete testing such as slump and destructive testing both cylinder and cube - Experienced with proper concrete placement for foundations and grout placement both cementitious and epoxy - Experience with bolt up steel inspections null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
