Critical Engineering Manager

Mitie Technical are looking for a Critical Engineering Manager who will work in partnership with the Senior Operations Manager to ensure best practice, compliance, asset management and risk mitigation in respect of all M&E services for the critical environment within the client portfolio, with key focus but not limited to the client's critical infrastructure.

This site based role offers great opportunities for progression. Working Monday - Friday 40 hours a week, 8 hours a day, there are no line manager duties with this role, instead you will be a critical engineering manager of the critical infrastructure on site.

We require our ideal candidate to be a British Passport holder, with a 5 year footprint of being in the UK for the past 5 years and no previous criminal convictions- high level client security clearance Developed Vetting (DV), is required for this role also.

The duties for our ideal Critical Engineering Manager are the following liaison and management of sub contractors for critical systems ensure  MITIE SSOW and PTW submitted and approved with liaison of Senior Operations Manager, this is a Customer faced role with regular interaction with the client team. It is important for our ideal candidate to be skilled in preparation and submission of all critical systems change management requests. Review service reports for critical systems in conjunction with Compliance team. Liaison and management of subcontractors to ensure completion of all scheduled maintenance in accordance with issued PPM instructions. Ensuring AP document registers maintained and all AP training up to date. AE Audits annually as minimum. Oversight of all BMS systems. Oversight of all critical systems  to ensure operational and maintain 100% uptime. Ensuring Technical Needs Assessments (TNA'S) are undertaken for all engineering team 12 x monthly as a minimum. Undertaking Site familiarisation and implementing Engineers handbooks for all the Engineering team and ups killing to required standards.

Our ideal candidate should have served a recognised apprenticeship with either an electrical or mechanical biased, someone who has worked upwards in their previous roles. High Voltage/Low Voltage complex systems Authorised Person. Working to a Planned Preventative and Reactive maintenance regime. NEBOSH/IOSH or other recognised H+S training. L8 Water Hygiene experience required. Able to work under pressure and work with high and low voltage complex systems. IT literate with Microsoft Office tools as well as Maximo 7.6 experience would be advantageous. Able to work under own initiative. Experience working in a similar role (Ideally in a Critical Facility managing teams of multi-skilled engineers and 3rd party contractors).
