For more information please visit:** **https://www.upmc.com/services/behavioral-health/resolve-crisis-services** **Responsibilities:** + Maintain a warm, friendly and hospitable environment while answering questions, obtaining clinical information and documenting duties. + Provide direct care to individuals and families in walk-in and structured residences using CSSP principles and a recovery model. + Offer supportive counseling with a person-centered, strength-based approach. + Work with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans. + Assist with ADLs, hygiene, and laundry. + Use motivational interviewing in crisis settings. + Participate in staff meetings and maintain a safe therapeutic environment High school diploma or equivalent required. B.S. degree preferred. Crisis experience preferred. Consistent ability to respond calmly and effectively, using good clinical judgment to both psychiatric and medical emergencies. Provide direct total physical care to unpredictable, potentially violent mentally ill residents including lifting, supporting, running toward or away from areas where problems are occurring, and pushing or pulling equipment. Excellent interpersonal relations and disposition that is warm, friendly, caring, kind, and hospitable toward consumers and colleagues. Ability work efficiently and independently in crisis setting. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Ability to work under stress, with an unpredictable consumer flow. Flexible schedule; rotating shifts. May in the course of their duties be in rooms where medications are stored or may transport medications when they transport patients.
