Responsible for providing emergency crisis intervention service including, patient assessment, and counseling.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Conducts evaluation interviews and provides clinical assessments of emotional and behavioral disorders.
2. Conducts evaluation interviews and provides clinical assessments of alcohol and substance abuse disorders.
3. Analyzes and prioritizes significant problem areas for intervention, utilizing an advanced level of clinical psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention and community resource knowledge and skill.
4. Serves as consultant to emergency department staff in identifying patient problems and disposition needs and in seeking therapeutic solutions.
5. Provides specialized crisis intervention and referral services to hotline callers.
6. Demonstrates considerable expertise in the areas of psychosocial assessment, crisis counseling and stabilization, establishment and documentation of appropriate goals, and interventions directed toward achieving those goals.
7. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Valid NJ or PA driver's license. Must have a clean driving record. Able to drive a company vehicle.
