The Opportunity:
JD: Associate III - Engineering Design
Job role: Creo Cable routing –(ME/EE Design)
Job Description:
• Use electrical team inputs cable list to understand source and destination points for cables, including end connection inside cabinet where applicable
• Analyze and segregate various cables considering AC/DC/Signal classes
• Identify exact source and destination points in mechanical structure 3D CAD Model/Assembly
• Perform and implement cable design and cable routing optimally in CAD 3D(Creo) considering the cable installation and assembly aspects and constraints
• Perform cable routing considering Safety and Serviceability requirements
• Consider support structure, space constraints within mechanical structure during cable routing
• Ensure Optimal path for the cable installation
• Interact and collaborate with various stakeholders (electrical/mechanical design teams, cross-functional teams etc.,) to understand project need
• Perform self-check and peer-check and ensure cables are routed / terminated according to the design
• Use 3D cable routing information and develop installation drawings as needed
• Ensure length of cable according to the cable routing done is enough for installation, and not too long or not too short
• Support and provide 3D cable routing data to prepare work instructions.
• Knowledge on CAD tools-Creo Schematic & Cable routing preferred.
Experience: 3-5 years hands on experience in cable routing
Education: BE/B-Tech with Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
