As a Director in the Hotel Franchise Finance group, you will be in a senior-level leadership position responsible for executing the division's strategic plan. You'll lead a group of Underwriters, and Portfolio Managers and work in concert with Loan Originators to expand market share, grow the loan portfolio, and deepen the relationships with our customers. This is accomplished by ensuring the group sources, underwrites and maintains well-structed hotel loans. Loans are primarily originated to be held on the bank’s balance sheet.You'll be responsible for facilitating the growth and development of the portfolio of the Hotel Franchise Finance business line.
Your time will be devoted to supporting your team in credit structuring, portfolio health management, and market dynamics responsiveness.
What we are looking for:
Responsible for supporting the Head of Hotel Franchise Finance in executing the platform's strategic plan and support the team’s efforts to grow the loan portfolio. This leader will be measured on the team's success in meeting sales objectives, maintaining portfolio health, and managing market dynamics.Oversee a team responsible for loan underwriting, portfolio management and loan closing. Work with the Loan Originators/Relationship Managers to discuss lending prospects, customers, business plans, loan terms and strategy. Monitor the loan portfolio and work with the Relationship Manager, Portfolio Manager and Credit personnel to pro-actively address deteriorating loan performance and mitigate risk from market developments. EExecute the tactical strategy outlined by the Head of Franchise Finance regarding hotel loan pitches and negotiation of term sheets and loan documents.Assist with the credit structuring process, customer assessment, and presentation to senior and divisional loan committees. Ensure the timely and accurate collection of regular loan reporting data from borrowers. Fosters strong, healthy working relationships with executive and senior leaders in partner departments (including Credit Administration, Risk Management/Compliance, Loan Administration, and other internal support departments, and third-party services), and facilitates team's contribution to and compliance with technical processes and requirements, risk mitigation, efficiency, and customer service.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and ten (10) or more years of related experience and/or training; or a combination of experience and education related to the finance industry.Advanced knowledge of hotel loan underwriting and portfolio management.Advanced knowledge of commercial credit and loan structuring, pricing dynamics and has market specific awareness.Knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.Knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
