Credit Risk Sr Professional
Description Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) seeks a Credit Risk Sr. Professional for its Johnston, RI location. Duties: Understand scope of credit policy changes, review and approve test case scenarios, and sign-off on system changes that are consistent with the approved credit policy change request. Reviews reporting produced by line of business to identify credit exposures approved outside of policy, ensuring that the line of business researches each potential violation, and ensures that resolution plans are documented and implemented. Utilizes computer programming skills (including R, Python, SQL and SAS) and knowledge of credit data and statistics to prepare analysis on approved and declined applications. Reviews codes/reporting produced by line of business for accuracy and completeness. Reviews regular monthly analysis produced by the line of business credit risk team for quality/accuracy and documents any required follow-ups or challenges for the line of business. Requirements: Master’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Risk Management, or related field, and three (3) years of experience in the position offered or in a related role. Full term of experience must include: Utilizing statistical and data science methods to build analytical solutions, prove hypotheses, and recommend improvements; Developing and executing models using statistical analysis in programming languages, including SAS, R, and Python to assess and predict risk; Implementing systems of automated decision rules using SQL, validating data fields in data warehouses, comparing data against relevant databases, and writing complex queries in large relational databases; Supporting risk assessment functions of underwriting and pricing; Developing data-driven applications and managing data warehousing with relational database management systems (RDBMS) using SQL for efficient data storage and retrieval; Handling large datasets using R, Python, and VBA to perform analyses related to risk identification, pricing strategies, and reporting; Building applications with SQL to extract data, perform data validations, update records, and generate periodic reports for regulatory compliance and internal audits; Creating automated and scalable reporting dashboards in Excel and R for enhanced management decision-making; and Communicating complex technical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
