Accommodation is available upon request for candidates taking part in the selection process. **Job Description: Credit Controller** **What will you do in this role?** To aide premium receivable collection to enhance cash flow and minimize past due balances. + Responsible for chasing brokers for the collection of outstanding inward premiums. + Experience in handling Open Market and Delegated Underwriting Authority business. + Send out monthly statements to the brokers and monitor the responses for appropriate action. + Assist in preparation of weekly reports utilizing IRIS mainframe for the open premium receivables which will assist with highlighting priorities by highest debt and oldest balances for action and follow-ups. + To liaise with the Underwriter for the premium to check the current situation and then take further action with follow up calls to the Broker. Review if the Underwriter has extended the Warranty Date or SDD and update the system to reflect the change. + Undertake face-to-face meetings with Broker with the intention to resolve issues or problems and review past due balances. + Undertake face-to-face meetings with Underwriting teams with the intention to resolve issues or problems and review past due balances. + Liaise with the Credit Control Manager regarding best practice and strategies for handling collections, e.g., if the Manager has a stronger relationship with the Broker than the jobholder. + Advise the Credit Control Manager with any relevant market information including any insight to Assured / Broker / Reinsurer going into liquidation or where Brokers are continuously breaking promises to make payments. + Attend the relevant market meetings/ updates / training sessions held by XIS to enhance knowledge and monitor changes in market premium and settlement procedures. + Maintain an up-to-date commentary within iris on over 60-day open market premium and delegated business debt for inclusion in unit pack/management reports.
