Your Role
You will assist the Credit Control Manager with the overall collection of premium debtors for Australia and New Zealand (A&NZ) and ensuring that the reporting of information is undertaken accurately and within provided strict deadlines whilst maintaining a strong and professional relationship with Brokers, Underwriters, Operations, and other stakeholders.
You will develop and manage collaborative relationships across the end-to-end collections and resolutions process and work with all relevant teams and business areas to resolve any overdue debt issues and escalations.
Your Responsibilities
Assist the CCM with managing the Accounts Receivable Team both locally and offshore reporting directly into you:- Oversight of the onshore and offshore collections, account queries & cash applications performance to ensure targets are met.
- Aiding and supporting your team with any general queries that may arise.
- Act as the first point of escalation on matters and providing summary to CCM where required.
- Providing productive 1 on 1 catchups with the team, setting goals, ensuring the team are working towards their goals & handling performance reviews for the local team in line with Chubb provided deadlines. Assist with managing the day-to-day activities of the local and offshore team with respect to the core credit control functions for A&NZ:
- Reporting of ledgers & Top Accounts review of overdue debt.
- Act as first escalation point for the team.
- Preparation of adhoc reporting where required to assist with achieving AR targets.
- Ensuring that allocation of receipts in BAML and non-BAML receivables bank accounts are cleared in a timely manner. Point of contact between AR & Operations
- Ensuring the team are meeting previously agreed KPI’s regarding CCQ’s.
- Working closely with OPS regarding any issues that are raised where AR processes can be improved.
- Working closely with OPS to ensure that teams are working collaboratively to achieve Unallocated Cash & Debit targets. Reporting:
- Ensure reporting of information is undertaken efficiently and completed within provided deadlines – including daily/monthly/quarterly reporting, regional & local reporting, unallocated cash, overdue premium, bad debts, LBE, compliance & regulatory requirements.
- Produce, develop, refine and recommend analysis reporting regarding operational flows and efficiencies in receivables, unallocated cash & multinational accounts. Adhoc Tasks (may include but are not limited to):
- Assist with any UAT requirements when/if required.
- Arranging login’s & new user set ups where required.
- Arranging leave cover for the credit controllers & CCM where required.
- Providing cover across tasks for the Multinational Business in relation to AR.
- Arranging a training plan and providing training to the team & new starters where required.
- Any adhoc queries/tasks that may arise as per instructed by CCM.
Your Skills & Experience
Minimum 3 years of accounts receivable experience within high-volume ledgers environment in the Insurance/Financial Services industry.Confident level of account reconciliations and credit control knowledge and experience.Proficiency in Excel and a working knowledge of main Microsoft applications, e.g. Word, Outlook, Powerpoint.Excellent accuracy and attention to detail- strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to accurately review and analyse data.Experience in people management and staff development- focus on leadership by continuously displaying competence as a leader tackling tough issues, communicating effectively, and exhibits integrity.Demonstratable strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; confidence and experience in dealing with senior managers and various stakeholders.Results orientated and enjoys challenging objectives, demonstrates drive to deliver, executes actions in a focused manner and pursues a course of action to its logical conclusion.Able to motivate staff, introduce efficient work practices & ensure processes are being followed as per expectations.Ability to efficiently pick up new tasks in a positive manner.Degree qualified or part-qualified in accounting or finance is advantageous but not required.PeopleSoft experience is desirable.We offer you the opportunity to work as part of a dynamic and agile environment where continuous development is encouraged throughout your career, both locally and globally.
