Credit Administrator
About The Role The Credit Administrator will provide oversight and leadership for the loan department staff as assigned and monitor processes for continuous improvement, efficacy, and compliance with applicable regulations, with a heavy focus on loan quality control objectives that are consistent with the bank’s goals. They work to manage various projects to assist with the overall credit quality of the loan portfolio with emphasis on an adherence to policy and procedure. Position will have extensive contact with customers, vendors, the public, and bank staff and will interact in a professional and courteous manner. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Work closely with and provide support to Chief Credit Officer. Identify and provide suggestions for improving efficiencies in procedures for the underwriting of loans with an emphasis on policy and procedure. Provide feedback regarding Loan Policy and Procedure to the Chief Credit Officer. In conjunction with Senior Loan Operations Manager and Chief Credit Officer, work with Glacier Bancorp (GBCI) Internal Auditors, GBCI Quality Control, and outside auditing firms (i.e., DLS Consulting) as well as Bank Examiners during examinations. Gather information as assigned for all examinations. Attend loan committee as required, with ability to provide structural feedback to the committee. Review credit authorizations and provide feedback to Chief Credit Officer, Department Heads, loan officers, and/or credit analysts. Review credit authorization corrections identified in loan committee prior to obtaining final loan approval. Work closely with credit analyst team to manage and support credit quality objectives. Work with Chief Credit Officer to review problem loan reports with loan officers and take necessary action to include adherence to policy with a focus on action plans to either upgrade credits or exit. Work closely with leads in loan areas to include Commercial, Consumer, Loan Operations, and Special Assets. Act as liaison between First Security Bank and GBCI Credit Administration related to quality control reviews performed by GBCI Credit Administration Assist with periodic reporting to GBCI Credit Administration and the completion of special projects for First Security Bank and GBCI Credit Administration Interface with loan review, regulators, compliance, and/or auditors as required or directed. Review annual loan reviews for quality and completeness to insure consistency with bank policy and procedure. About You QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of five years of banking experience in the areas of credit analysis, commercial lending, or credit administration. A Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field is required. Must possess current, valid driver’s license. KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY: Must have a high degree of attention to detail as well as excellent organizational skills to perform in a fast-paced environment. Must have ability to prioritize and organize heavy workloads and demonstrate effective time management skills. Must have ability to work quickly and accurately, perform effectively under pressure, meet multiple deadlines and sometimes competing deadlines, and make decisions based on regulations, company policy, knowledge, and experience. Working knowledge of standard office equipment. Skills in areas related to computer operation/use including working knowledge of Microsoft applications and ability to learn new systems/applications. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise. Must be capable of occasional travel (less than 10 days per year) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
