Creative Designer

KBR is seeking a Creative Designer to join its fun and highly innovative Global Marketing team. Our small-but-mighty in-house creative team functions like a boutique agency and is responsible for a wide range of deliverables including quarterly publications, storyboards, video graphics, motion assets, sales proposals, web visuals and page design, tradeshow displays, print and digital brochures, logos, signage, advertisements, annual reports, social media deliverables and other marketing and communications materials. The ideal candidate is highly creative, passionate about design, collaborative, detail-oriented, and eager to grow and learn. In this role, you’ll work closely with members of the Global Marketing team and other internal stakeholders to develop deliverables, from conception to completion, that not only look stunning but that are also strategic and help meet business outcomes. The Creative Designer will also support the evolution of KBR’s future-forward, people-centric, and sustainability-focused brand.

Job Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree in graphic design, marketing, advertising or equivalent preferred. Advertising agency experience is a plus.

At least five years of applied design experience.

Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other graphic design software.

Experience creating PowerPoint graphics and presentations is preferred. Motion/video-editing skills are a bonus but not required.

Knowledge of layout, graphic design fundamentals, typography, and color theory.

(HYBRID/REMOTE SCHEDULE) This role requires two (2) days per week in person at KBR’s corporate office in Houston, Texas.

Online portfolio required.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Create strategic and original visual content for KBR business units and corporate functions that adheres to brand standards and reinforces KBR's position as a market leader

Translate conceptual ideas into effective design

Strong eye for detail and visual composition

Create and maintain files for all creative assets and resources, such as software, art materials and special fonts, which are needed for documentation and reference purposes

Ability to work on multiple projects at once with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of accountability and ownership

Collaborative and team-oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills
