D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Creative Content Writer. The right candidate is responsible for the writing and editing marketing content across digital marketing channels. This position will play an integral role in developing our brand while driving desired actions among target audiences through strategic messaging, language, and purposeful content.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Collaborate with marketing teams to understand our target audiences, core messaging and develop a strategic narrative for marketing contentDevelop original marketing content for online and print marketing projects and initiatives as well as campaignsCoordinate with the Director of Marketing to plan and manage strategic content for marketing projectsWork with the Director of Marketing to ensure creative and strategic excellence on all projectsDevelop and write content for online communication channels, including short- and long-form content pieces, emails, websites, blog posts, microsites, and adsDevelop and write content for core marketing collateral, product descriptions and proposal content, and whitepapers on topics of digital accessibility, tailored to specific industries (e.g., financial, retail, telecommunications)Copyedit and revise marketing and sales content developed by others before publicationKeep up to date with digital accessibility trends, standards, and regulations Interview in-house subject matter experts to gather informationLiaise with other departments (i.e., Ad Operations, Art, etc.) for editorial purposes as neededConducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the companyAbility to work overtime

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, and/or Business from a four-year college or universityThree to five years of experience in writing or journalismPossess exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsAbility to communicate and build relationships via teams and other remote style communicationsThink independently while working within a groupAbility to work well within a teamProvide attention to detail and manage multiple responsibilitiesAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applicationsProficiency with MS Office and emailAbility to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral visionThe noise level is generally moderate
