No If Temporary, enter End Date: Position Summary Create and manage The Athletics Department marketing and social media campaigns with graphic design and photography. This position is 11 months, 8/1 – 6/30. Major Responsibilities Social Media/Marketing Manage all publicity for SUNY Cortland’s home and away contests, which includes mass emails to campus and updates to our social media accounts Manage all social media content, maintain and implement social media strategies, which includes having an active social media presence at all times Research new areas/platforms for outreach to promote Athletics Provide photography and videography for Athletics and sports teams Supervise and train student volunteers to assist with photography and media design Edit, name and organize all sports photography on a digital database Organize media days with each athletic program, which includes photographing and promoting each of our season’s sports fall, winter and spring

Graphic Design Create visual concepts and develop design solutions that align with strategic goals Produce a wide range of graphics including presentations, advertisements, marketing collateral, and digital content Maintain brand consistency throughout all designs and projects Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate the best practices into your design work Collaborate with team members to brainstorm ideas and develop concepts Produce a wide range of graphics including presentations, advertisements, marketing collateral, and digital content Create and implement marketing campaigns working with internal and external constituents for coordinating public relations for the Athletics Department Obtain all graphics for publicity/marketing for the Athletics Department ‘brand’; secure all marketing materials Provide graphic design work including conference awards, game day programs, athlete of the week, awards banquets and C Club events. This includes taking staged shots of athletes, action shots from competition and production of graphics in coordination with the needs of the Sports Information Department
Functional and Supervisory Relationships Reports to the Associate Director of Athletics and will supervise student assistants.
