Crane & MHE Operator
Overview ***This position is physically located in the Philippines in support of LOGCAP*** Under the supervision of the Trades Shop Supervisor, the Crane Operator / RTCH / MHE operator, is responsible for the operation of a variety of hoist and gantry cranes, movement, loading and unloading of containers as well as operating MHE equipment, and will interprets load charts and plans all lifts. Responsible for daily safety inspection and safe operation of all equipment. Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. Operates hoist and gantry cranes, to support completion of Projects Operates RTCH, and MHE equipment to support completion of Projects Perform manual labor with hand tools when required Assist with other tasks when not operating hoist/gantry crane equipment or training. Perform equipment inspections of all to ensure equipment is being maintenance properly and inspected regularly and perform daily checks, Pre, and Post inspections. Move/transport materials and supplies to designated work locations. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be eligible and/or able to obtain An Agila Subic, V2X access badge. Must be a (LN) Local National, Philippines Experience: 3 years of crane equipment operation and 200 hours of routine crane operation. A certified RTCH, MHE and crane operator, may work under the direction of a more experienced operator to attain the 200-hour experience. Experience managing international and long logistics chain multisite projects. Certifications and Licenses: Valid Philippines driver’s license and Department of Transportation (DOT) certification in crane, RTCH, and MHE, operations. Skills: Ability to operate hoist/gantry cranes, RTCH, and MHE. Ability to perform safety inspections of all cranes, RTCH, and MHE equipment, but not limited to wire rope, hooks, slings, and rigging. Communicates professionally, both orally and in writing Interact professionally with the customer, military, and other agency officials Working Conditions: Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 60 degrees in the winter and 100 degrees in the summer months). Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well. Physical Requirements: Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
