Amyx is seeking to hire a Country Lead/Project Manager to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) Directorate, Biological Threat Reduction Program at Ft Belvoir, VA. 

 

Supports the BTRP mission by providing subject matter expertise and trusted advice in a multitude of cross-cutting functions that assist CTR Program working with foreign partners to eliminate Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) related systems and materials, consolidate and secure WMD-related systems and materials, and detect and interdict WMD related trafficking or outbreaks of especially dangerous diseases.

 

Provide support, advice and expertise related to biological threat reduction and cooperation with host countries.  Work directly with the DTRA Staff and coordinate with personnel supporting the program at Ft. Belvoir, VA and OCONUS. 

Responsibilities Conducting needs assessments, gap analysis, procurement support, and performance validation and sustainment on behalf of DTRA.Work across project and contractor teams to meet the BTRP science and policy mission in accordance with program cost, schedule, and performance requirements.Support BTRP leadership in defining regional and technical requirements, establishing long-range plans, defining project and program success factors, and implementing assessment methodologies for achieving consistent, systematic processes.Make recommendations to the BTRP leadership and facilitate the identification of trends and the desired future state for the CTR BTRP Programs abroad.Document best practices across all programs, draft lessons learned, and make recommendations to adapt, apply, and embed those practices throughout the project life cycle.Provide support for organizational development, process implementation, trend monitoring, and continuous process improvement with an emphasis on ensuring critical needs are addressed in a timely manner.This individual will support the INDOPACO region

 

Supported Technologies:  Microsoft Office applications suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams).

 

  Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Secret ClearanceBachelor’s Degree or equivalent in related field.
At least 3 years’ relevant experienceExperience with Acquisition is mandatory

 

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

Experience in the CTR Program, DTRA, or similar CWMD related workExperience working with the U.S. government on areas concerning national security.Familiarity with biological threats of natural, accidental, or deliberate origin.International engagement experience.Excellent communication, written, and organizational skills.Ability to work on multiple projects which includes prioritizing, tracking, attention to detail, follow-up, and follow-through to project completion.Flexibility/adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment.
