**_The UW School of Pharmacy (UWSOP)_** **has an outstanding opportunity for a** **_Temporary_** **Counseling Services Coordinator** focused on advancing undergraduate education in the Pharmaceutical Sciences.
UWSOP is a nationally ranked School of Pharmacy, committed to educating the next generation of leaders in pharmacy, pharmaceutical research, and health care.
UWSOP is now expanding its offerings for undergraduate students, including a new research experience program and a planned minor in the Pharmaceutical Sciences. The Counseling Services Coordinator would play a key role in the planning and implementation of these efforts, and advance the mission of UWSOP’s Undergraduate Programs to:
• Deliver academically rigorous training in the pharmaceutical sciences to undergraduate students from across the University of Washington in an effective, inclusive, and equitable manner.
• Position undergraduate students to excel in their chosen careers in healthcare and biomedical sciences.
• Attract outstanding tri-campus UW students to graduate and professional programs in the School of Pharmacy.
**Duties and Responsibilities**

• Provide curricular support for UWSOP faculty and instructors developing course content for undergraduate students.
• Advise UW students enrolled in or considering UWSOP undergraduate programs on course selection and academic progress.
• Ensure appropriate responses to inquiries about UWSOP undergraduate programs.
• Identify, monitor, and support students with academic difficulties, and make referrals to UW and UWSOP resources as needed.
• Ensure that information about UWSOP undergraduate programs are communicated effectively and promptly to UW student populations who may be interested in them.
• Assist with accreditation and programmatic review of UWSOP undergraduate programs.

• Coordinate admissions and placement of undergraduate researchers from the UW and other 2- or 4-year institutions in UWSOP research groups.
• Disseminate information about undergraduate research opportunities to help recruit prospective students from the UW and other 2- or 4-year institutions.
• Coordinate professional development activities for undergraduate researchers at UWSOP.

**Minimum Requirements**
• Bachelor’s degree
• 2 years experience working in an education setting.
_Equivalent education or experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications, except when there are legal requirements such as a license/certification/registration._ **Desirable Qualifications**
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to inclusive and equitable learning environments.
• Good written communication skills.
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office, Sharepoint, and Zoom.
• Experience working with students at an Associate’s or Bachelor’s level.
