DESCRIPTION:

As a Cost Engineer at WDF Inc., reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

Creating and issuing subcontractor commitments including all required insurance start up and owner approval processResponsible for takeoff (as required for change order verification) budget creation, Proposal Reviews, and coordination with all stakeholders, ensuring tasks projects are completed, including coordination with estimating department, field operation team and project controlsReporting and issuance of monthly progress reports to ownerManagement of T&M processInput, monitoring, and implementation of the JDE cost reportsResponsible for drafting letters / notices to owner & subcontractors for Senior Project Manager & Project Executive review / approvalReview all owner notices and properly document and assess impacts (cost & schedule) for review with the project teamDevelopment and management of all subcontract provisions with subcontract terms and condition language and coordination for subcontract final approvalAssists Senior Project Manager on all project compliance requirementsProject Compliance CoordinatorJobsite contact point for onboarding, development for subcontractor/vendor payment process and accounting reporting accuracyJobsite lead for all JDE entriesAll project Cost Reporting via Procore systemPotential Change Order (PCO) LogMaintain PCO Tracking and execution of all project change requests from inception to final execution (owner & subcontractor)Management of Subcontract Agreement / PO document packaging, issuance & execution processEstimating / quantity take-offs for PCOs.  Solid negotiation skills to resolve subcontractor PCOsExperienced in both the preconstruction phase and project execution

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum of 4 years of experience in cost engineering, cost analysis, or financial management for construction infrastructure or building projectsProficient in cost management software (Procore) and cost estimating tools and software, including Excel, Primavera P6, or similar platformsStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsExperience working with NJ Transit, GDC, or similar transit agencies preferredExcellent written and verbal skills

The salary range for this position is $93,000 - $137,000 depending on experience
