Cost Control Manager

Clover Leaf is looking for a Cost Control Manager to lead and manage all aspects of cost control for projects across preconstruction, construction, and close-out phases. This position focuses on accurate, timely, and thorough estimating, cost tracking, forecasting, reporting, scheduling, and progress measurement to ensure project success.

Responsibilities:

Supervise monthly closing activities and prepare executive summaries for leadership review. Prepare forecasts for upcoming billing cycles, including revenue, cost, and cash-flow projections. Analyze and prepare reports such as monthly cost reports, labor reports, payroll summaries, weekly project updates, and quantities installed. Manage subcontractor agreements, purchase orders, change orders, contract modifications, and cost impact estimations. Assist in the development of project-specific tools for forecasting quantities, hours, and costs throughout project phases. Oversee project set-up and close-out processes to align with company standards and contract requirements. Perform field audits to confirm project progress, sequencing, and installation quantities while addressing variances. Review pending subcontractor claims for validity and financial responsibility. Participate in value engineering processes to optimize project outcomes. Provide cost and schedule impact analysis for identified project risks. Ensure final billing is completed and submitted within 30 days of project turnover. Document historical cost information and lessons learned to support future projects.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field with a financial background. 5-10 years of experience in cost control management within the construction industry. Proven experience in project cost controls, scheduling, and change management. Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Knowledge of engineering practices, construction materials, systems, market conditions, and craft trades. Ability to interpret contract terms, conditions, and exhibits related to project requirements. Experience managing multiple teams and groups in a deadline-driven environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
