Description We are looking to onboard a Cost Accountant in the Construction/Contractor industry based out of Houston, Texas. The role involves managing accounting functions, scrutinizing financial services, and using various software systems. It is an exciting opportunity that allows you to take part in budget processes, audit functions, and resource planning. Responsibilities: • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including Accounts Payable (AP) and cash activity. • Implement and work with a Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reports. • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions. • Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions. • Utilize accounting software systems such as Epicor and ADP for financial services. • Manage the preparation of the company's budget and financial forecasts. • Conduct auditing tasks to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reports. • Oversee the ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning system for operational efficiency. • Handle Bill of Materials (BOM) and LEED Accounts Payable. • Generate Crystal Reports for the detailed view of financial data. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years experience in a Cost Accountant role within the Construction/Contractor industry • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems • Experience with ADP - Financial Services is crucial • Familiarity with Crystal Reports is required • Proficient in using Epicor software • Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is essential • Competence in various Accounting Functions • Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) • Proven track record in Auditing • Familiarity with Budget Processes is a must • Experience in handling Cash Activity • Understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) is crucial • Knowledge of LEED Accounts Payable is advantageous Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
