Establish labor and overhead rates and classify costs accuratelyAnalyze work order variances and help maintain bills of materialEvaluate and maintain accurate standard costsAssist in the improvement in internal controls related to inventory movementGenerate PPV reports and analyze findingsEvaluate actual production costs as compared to expected costsLead and manage inventory costing and reserves processes and systemsUnderstand assigned plant's inventory composition, customer base and its relationship with monthly sales to aid when addressing month-end or daily issuesAssist with plants annual physical inventory countsAssist with month-end close process to include closing the month's inventory accounts in the most efficient manner, reconciling to ensure accuracy Assist Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable department with general ledger account coding on issues relating to assigned plants

Qualifications & Educational Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years' work experience as cost accountant in a manufacturing environmentBachelor's degree in accounting, MBA a plusProfessional certification preferred, CPA or CMAJD Edwards ERP experience preferredProficient in use of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, including macros, advanced formulas, and data analysisMust have a strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and cost accountingDetail oriented and excellent organizational and analytical skillsTeam player with the ability to operate in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentMust possess a strong work ethicThorough knowledge of finance, managerial accounting, budgeting and cost control proceduresStrong organizational and time management skills

Associate Requirements Bachelors Background Check Drug Test Must be at least 18 years old The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $33.00 - $38.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.
