As part of our Infrastructure Advisory Team, this position will be responsible for the assessment, analysis, and development of corrosion mitigation strategies for critical infrastructure in the water, energy, telecommunications and government services markets.This position will be supported by our national team of condition assessment and corrosion staff that focus on delivering value to our clients through high technical standards of work and a commitment to a one-team culture Within our Infrastructure Advisory business, we have seen consistent growth driven by our clients’ needs to address aging infrastructure challenges. This position focuses on providing project support across the county, including task management, corrosion and/or condition assessments, cathodic protection design, and working as part of a national team. This position is part of a broader initiative at Black & Veatch aimed towards assisting our clients with extending the service life of their infrastructure. **\#LI-SN1** **Key Responsibilities** + Responsible for safely planning and providing assessments of conditions affecting national gas, petroleum, water, and wastewater infrastructure, including field inspections + Manage the structuring, storage and utilization of diverse data and asset information + Provide input on condition assessment data interpretation including ability to clearly communicate findings through technical reports. + Assist in the development of galvanic and impressed current system cathodic protection designs + Coordinate closely with local team leads, design staff, and safety teams + Contribute to the development of repair, refurbishment, and replacement alternatives and designs. + Collaborate closely with Strategic Asset Management and Maintenance Management teams. + Support business development activities and the development of technical content for marketing activities. **Preferred Qualifications** + PE license (or working towards obtaining PE) + 5 - 7 years of experience performing corrosion monitoring and cathodic protection design + Familiarity with current and future corrosion technology trends and adoption + Experience with External Corrosion Direct Assessment (ECDA) process + Knowledge of pipeline and coating design and repair + Knowledge of Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion (MIC) assessment + Knowledge and identification of cathodic protection systems + Knowledge of AC corrosion modeling and mitigation + Experience with natural gas, petroleum, water and wastewater treatment plant facility design basics + Knowledge of various types of pipe rehabilitation methods **Minimum Qualifications** + Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. + Minimum of 5 years related work experience. + All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations. **Certifications** Registered Professional Engineer **Work Environment/Physical Demands** This position will require individuals to work in confined spaces at times. **Salary Plan** ENG: Engineering **Job Grade** 130 Black & Veatch endeavors to makeaccessible to any and all users.
