DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Corrections Plant Mechanic, you will provide skilled work in the repair of high-pressure boilers and related equipment which generate steam heat and hot water. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance of water and steam boilers, chillers and cooling towers, air compressor equipment, water expansion tanks, and standby generators. You will also have the opportunity to train inmates in the practices, methods, and procedures of plant mechanic work through demonstration, explanation, and close supervision during work assignments.
