As a highly personable, client focused professional with demonstrated subject matter expertise in Talent Acquisition, you will collaborate with our business partners to streamline our talent acquisition practices, continue to brand PCL as an employer of choice, develop sourcing strategies across the globe and develop and roll out recruitment campaigns. In this role you will also help to spearhead PCL’s efforts to influence government and industry policies and programs and work closely with our recruiting teams to create consistency in PCL branding and communications.

 

Here's how a(n) Corporate Talent Acquisition Manager for our Edmonton NAHQ office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities Organize the development of a Talent Acquisition Strategic Roadmap by working with senior leaders and HR leadership to advance the right recruitment strategy, programs and partners to drive the strategy. Consult with managers on recruitment practices and gather market intelligence on industry trends to develop effective sourcing strategies. Position PCL as a great place to work, and design & execute a branding strategy with the Communications & Marketing team. Stay informed of trends and innovative sourcing strategies and platforms, recruiting techniques and trends to attract and compete for top talent across the globe. Manage, leverage, and challenge existing recruiting strategies, methods, and systems to generate a proactive and efficient approach to improving the quality of candidates and time-to-hire. Measure and improve key business metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, internal talent mobility, quality of hire, overall monthly hires, etc.) Identify opportunities to increase the diversity of the candidate pool by partnering with internal and external organizations that support the company’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. Leverage strong analytical skills to audit processes, assess trends, create reports, and tell the story with data. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 10 years similar talent acquisition experience, ideally in a corporate AND search firm/agency setting with at least 5 years in a corporate (non-agency) environment. Minimum 3 years of people leadership experience. Demonstrated ability to build relationships with, partner with and effectively influence all stakeholders throughout the end-to-end talent acquisition process. Current knowledge of talent acquisition best practices, emerging issues, and legislation. Demonstrated expertise in building and maintaining KPIs as well as reporting and providing various workforce metrics as it relates to new hires, retention, turnover, sources of hire, etc. Demonstrated experience in utilization of key social recruiting platforms such as LinkedIn and Indeed. Strong preference for those with Construction-industry or related experience; experience in an international organization is a plus. Ability to navigate large organizations and identify stakeholders. Experience collaborating with internal marketing teams on effective and creative communication strategies both internally and externally.
