Ensure that Profit Maximisation targets are achieved and driving sales revenue growth device growth Request for Proposals Tender Management and retention of existing client base Driving market share growth and retaining / penetrating the existing customer base with a view to increasing profit growth in the segment
Key Performance Areas
Represent the Growth team at Monthly meetings
Represent the business when it comes to client visits
To optimise profitability by assessing and controlling customer risk applying sound commercial judgement ensuring that cost containment and increased revenue through retention is achieved
Ensure the growth of new and existing business by promoting the use of all the business units products solutions and services together with all the products
Define the target segment market positioning and product offering
Formulate a collaboration strategy to penetrate the current and future client base
Identify market opportunities
Ensure efficient and effective management of the sales and relationship function
Action and control of special projects
Identify opportunities and action initiatives aimed at
Increase organizational growth
Improve customer service & retention
Create operational efficiencies
Ensure positive relationships are maintained with corporate and other merchants
Actively pursue new business opportunities
Client Retention
Manage the resolution of problems related to the delivery of products in the market
Management of vendors and third parties as required
Ensure that returns and reports are submitted accurately and timeously
Requirements
5 to 6 years relevant experience at managerial level
Merchant Services product knowledge or background on how card/electronic flows work
Must be involved in the Merchant Services industry
Relevant Experience in Sales/Service
Corporate Merchant Services Experience
RFP and Tender Management Skills
A broad knowledge of Merchant Services products
Understanding of client service drivers related to specific product sets
Knowledge and awareness of the functioning of Merchant Services as an organization and understanding of formal structures and governance especially where participation is required across functional boundaries
Knowledge and understanding of risk and riskmitigates in respect of financial sovereign statutory legal credit market country operational and other risk issues
Understanding of the dynamics and principles of the banking industry ie products and services banking laws business accounting international trade and finance knowledge
Understanding and knowledge of how clients operate and what their transactional banking needs are in order to improve the service experience
Knowledge and understanding of competitors ie their strengths weaknesses competitive advantages and disadvantages as well as formal and informal structures
Ability to translate this knowledge into a competitive advantage to optimally position Merchant Services
