Job Description

The Corporate Quality Auditor is responsible for providing an independent assessment of the health and effectiveness of quality systems and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and GMPs. This role is crucial in implementing and maintaining company policies, procedures, and governance systems for raw and packaging material suppliers, external manufacturing sites, contract manufacturers (CMs), joint ventures (JVs), and P&G operations.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or a postgraduate degree in Chemistry/Bio Sciences and a minimum of 5 years of auditing experience.

YOUR TEAM

You will report directly to the India Corporate QA Director, working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance quality assurance processes.

Strategic Program Implementation: Successfully implement strategic CQA auditing programs.

Leadership in Audits: Lead audits with a high-performing team, effectively managing key stakeholders to drive compliance and quality improvements.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

Expertise in Auditing: Maintain and enhance auditing skills, providing expertise on quality systems across regulatory risk pools.

Audit Planning: Lead and coordinate audit plans for active sites, ensuring timely scheduling and execution.

Communication and Coordination: Collaborate with P&G site QA/ESS QA and supplier contacts to schedule audits, ensuring timely data entry into the eQMS Veeva system.

Timely Audit Completion: Ensure audits are completed within stipulated time frames, managing extensions as necessary with senior leadership based on the extension period (Director or Senior Director).

Independent Execution: Execute audits independently or with the co-auditors based on the complexity of the audit.

Pre-Meeting Planning: Plan and conduct pre-meetings with sites, gathering necessary documents and preparing agendas.

Team Alignment: Ensure audit team roles are clearly defined and aligned, facilitating effective pre-work for audits.

Escalation Management: Assess and escalate critical findings or issues to senior leadership as needed.

Training and Support: Partner with OU QA for training on QMS requirements and standards (P&G I-Quality principles), Quality Program Health Assessment (QPHA) / Internal audit tools and other regulatory/GMP standards as applicable to the sector or market (e.g., WHO GMP, Schedule M, PIC/S, ICH Q7, Q9, Q10, IPEC PQG, ISO 13487, ISO15378, ISO 22000, EFfCI, etc.)

Audit Reporting: Collate findings and report the audit findings in the form of a defined Audit Report format following the corporate Auditing SOP requirements such as fact check with the auditees, calibration of the audit reports with the relevant Principal Auditor/s. Release the report in a timely manner following the SOP time frame.

CAPA Management: Enter and manage action plans into the reporting system by responsible parties timely.

Task Management: Support sites and businesses with additional defined tasks as part of personal development Learn & Grow plans.

QA Expertise: In-depth knowledge of QA systems, demonstrated by experience in QA or site roles at a manufacturing facility.

Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot issues and implement systemic fixes.

Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements.

Influencing Skills: Strong leadership and influencing skills across all organizational levels.

Collaboration Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and regions.

This role demands extensive travel within India and abroad hence the candidate should be open to travel. This role requires a minimum undergraduate level entry in Pharmacy with at least one assignment in a site manufacturing or QA role, expected to last approximately 5 years offering opportunities for growth and development within the organization. Candidates with experience in Personal Health Care and certification as a lead auditor (e.g., ISO 9001) are preferred.
