Corporate & Internal Communications Specialist
Emerson’s Test & Measurement business group, formerly known as NI, is seeking an experienced, passionate communications professional to lead internal communications across its four Business Units and Global Sales & Marketing function! This role presents an exciting, global opportunity to partner with and counsel senior leaders through a period of rapid evolution and change, advise on and craft business-critical communications, and help thousands of team members understand and see the impact they’re making on the organization’s strategy and goals. As a member of the Internal and Site Communications team, this role will also work closely with Communications colleagues and senior leaders on critical organization-wide priorities, team member engagements, and change management initiatives across the organization. **In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:** + Develop and implement communication strategies and tactics to continuously advise, cultivate employee engagement, reinforce organizational values, and support company-wide initiatives. + Counsel and guide the development of leadership communications, ensuring a consistent voice and authentic tone. + Continuously evaluate and refine existing and/or experiment with new communication channels to educate and engage the organization more effectively. + Support fast-paced change management and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive understanding and engagement. + Work across the Internal & Site Communications team to address immediate business priorities while addressing longer-term communication objectives. + Optimize for maximum impact, find opportunities to accelerate and streamline important efforts. **Required knowledge and skills:** + Strong storyteller who can translate business strategies, objectives, and results into digestible, compelling stories that resonate with team members. + Experience partnering with senior leadership to align business unit, Sales, and Marketing strategies with broader organizational goals and objectives. + Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; proven track record to adapt voice, tone and style as necessary. + Proven ability to plan, balance and connect near-term priorities with longer-range business objectives. + Strong business acumen and ability to “connect the dots” across the organization. + Ability to analyze and assess employee sentiment, understanding, and constantly fine tune communication strategies and tactics. + Proven track record of navigating across an organization to drive alignment and produce results. **For This Role, You Will Need:** + 8-10 years’ experience in the Communications industry, within in-house and/or agency settings. + Strong internal communications experience, including working closely with executive leadership to lead change, empower, and connect functional and organization-wide objectives. + Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field.
