KBR is seeking an experienced and motivated Corporate HR Generalist to join our team in Houston! This position is hybrid and will support corporate functions including, IT, Legal, Finance and HR.
This Corporate HR Generalist will play a key role within KBR by offering guidance and best practices on the full life cycle of HR Administration and Staffing while facilitating a positive relationship between personnel and senior management. KBR is looking for someone with an "all-around" understanding of Human Resources, a generalist’s role and relevant professional business experience. This role is for someone who is looking to be part of a fast-paced environment.
The Corporate HR Generalist will be responsible for the development, implementation and administration of human resources programs, policies, processes and procedures designed to attract and retain in alignment with overall business strategy. They will provide transactional and strategic HR support to a client base of approximately 600 employees.
Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision, performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within their fieldAnalyze possible HR solutions using standard proceduresAttend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigationsPartner with leadership to address business needsEstablish and maintain effective relationships with other human resources groups within KBRMaintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain complianceKeep abreast of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment lawAll other job duties as requiredRequired Education, Experience, & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related academic fieldIn lieu of formal education equivalent work experience will be considered3 + years of experience as a human resources generalist/business partnerApplied experience in various employee-related programs, including employee relations, policy administration, performance management, organizational effectiveness, compensation, and recruitingWorkday experience, SAP preferredMS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; intermediate to advanced preferredProven ability to consult with line managers and provide candid / direct feedbackExcellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to effectively explain issues, express opinions, ask questions, actively listen, consider alternative ideas, and deliver presentationsExcellent interpersonal skills, organizational agility, strong analytical skills and the ability to deliver results while working in a fast-paced, high-stress environmentCustomer-service focus; ability to interact professionally in a helpful, courteous, and professional mannerKBR Benefits
