The Summer Internship Program allows students the opportunity to work on meaningful, business-essential projects that will give them the hands-on experience they need to build a solid foundation for their future. The program targets undergraduate students between their junior and senior year, and acts as a pipeline for full-time employment. As an intern, students will have the opportunity to participate in a formalized program, designed to increase knowledge of Cardinal Health and the healthcare industry, as well as develop essential leadership skills and interview for full-time employment upon successful completion of the internship program.

Start Date: May 19 or 27, 2025
Hours: Approximately 40 hours a week for a minimum of 10 weeks

Experience: Interns work with Cardinal Health professionals, business partners, customers and vendors on impactful projects in addition to daily work. As a Corporate Engineering Intern, you could potentially support the organization in several of the following ways:
Support the Automation Team by participating in design reviews, FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing and SAT. ( Site Acceptance Testing)Review existing manual manufacturing processes and work with the Automation Team and automation suppliers to develop automation concepts.Automation Engineering is responsible for developing manufacturing processes, production floor layouts and associated tools. Reviews new designs for manufacturability.Designs process improvements to reduce product cost, process cycle time and improved product quality.Accountabilities in this role:
Applies working knowledge in the application of concepts, principles and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks.Works on projects of moderate scope and complexity.Identifies possible solutions to a variety of technical problems and takes action to resolve.Applies judgment within defined parameters.Receives general guidance and may receive more detailed instruction on new projects.Work reviewed for sound reasoning and accuracy.Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering or a related field, preferredExpected graduation of winter 2025 or spring 2026, preferredPrevious manufacturing environment and/or automation experience, preferredStrong leadership, communication and analytical skillsParticipation in extracurricular activities, community organizations and/or professional associationsMust have unlimited work authorization in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the futurePlease note, applicants may redact any age-related information.
