Corporate Communications Specialist

Location: London, hybrid working
Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits
Working Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Mon to Fri

What you'll do

 

 

Vodafone UK is seeking a dynamic and highly organised Communications Executive to join our Communications team within the Corporate Affairs & Sustainability s department. The Executive will primarily manage the daily operation of our press inbox, ensuring the efficient handling of media inquiries, crafting responses, and collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation to gather essential information.

 

 

This role will help support proactive corporate projects, including campaigns and stories promoting Vodafone UK’s work and purpose, spokespeople opportunities, content drafting when required. 

 

 

This role work closely all parts of the Corporate Affairs & Sustainability team, and broader business to ensure information can be gathered in a timely, accurate and efficient manner. Building relationships with internal stakeholders.

 

 

Media Relations:

 

 

Draft press releases, media statements, and other written materials.Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media contacts.Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and interview requests.Filter and escalate information to relevant Corporate Communications Managers to aide response.

 

 

Proactive Corporate Comms support: 

 

 

Draft press releases, briefing documents, Q&As, social content as required.Support on logistics of senior spokespeople media briefings and speaking events. Ensure central team messaging is kept up to date.Monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities and potential issues.Work across wider external communications teams to support when required. Support in reactive and proactive corporate communications that will continuously improve Vodafone’s reputation in the UKWork closely with colleagues in GA, SB and Reg to ensure we are taking a joined up approach to media responses that will have a positive business impactEnsure information is shared with relevant Corporate Communications colleagues to ensure a fast and efficient response  Assist in team reporting to senior stakeholders within the business

Who you are

 

 

Collaborative, can do attitude to solving problemsHappy working in a fast-paced media environment Experience in a PR agency or in house press office dealing with media enquiries  TMT/FMCG sector experience (plus)PR experience
