Corporate Communications Manager

Sony Music is seeking an exceptional Corporate Communications Manager to tell the story of our artists, company, record label, and executives. We are looking for someone with excellent written and verbal skills, to communicate - internally and externally - the stories that differentiate Sony Music UK. We’re looking for a motivated and driven individual with an entrepreneurial spirit, who wants to make an impact, and isn’t afraid to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in. This would suit someone who has either in-house or agency PR/Comms experience.

What you'll do:

External Communications and PR:

Writing: Press releases, stories, briefings, award entries and adverts for Sony Music activities including label and corporate initiatives, for executives and for CSR efforts. Planning: Develop and implement media plans engaging with mainstream and social media, to build awareness and understanding among key stakeholders of Sony Music’s business strategies, market performance and brand position. In addition, work on online content strategy for Sony Music’s UK website and LinkedIn channels. Set KPIs and provide campaign reporting and actionable insights. Relationships: Develop and cultivate relationships with journalists and influencers at business and trade outlets, and pitch stories aligning with company goals. Pitching & tracking: find stories and thought leadership ideas that align with company goals, be able to sell them in and measure effectiveness.

Internal Communications:

Writing: Draft official internal communication across multiple platforms, including newsletters, intranet and work with the team to develop new channels and platforms. Relationships: work with labels and departments across the company and meet key internal stakeholders regularly to identify PR opportunities, act upon them and manage the approvals process. Measurement: Analyse the effectiveness of projects and channels and provide insights on the most effective ways to reach employees Who you are: Experience of working in a communication and/or public relations role, ideally in-house and/or agency experience. Interest and knowledge in the creative and entertainment industries Clear and concise verbal and written communicator. Excellent networking and relationship building skills and the ability to interact with confidence at all levels and functions within an organisation. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. Bring professionalism and the skills necessary to establish and maintain credibility and diplomacy. Strong organisational skills with the ability to deliver on multiple priorities.
