Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Corporate Accountant II to join our finance team. You will be responsible for preparing and completing financial transactions, analyzing general ledger accounts, and ensuring compliance with SOX requirements. This role involves managing insurance and government surveys, becoming a subject matter expert in ASC 842 - Lease Accounting, and contributing to continuous improvement projects.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare and complete financial transactions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, fixed assets, intercompany, address book, and banking.Respond to and resolve operational issues to meet stakeholders' requirements.Analyze general ledger accounts for accuracy and unusual items.Reconcile general ledger accounts to comply with SOX requirements.Manage insurance and government surveys.Become a subject matter expert in ASC 842 - Lease Accounting.Prepare weekly and month-end journal entries to ensure accurate account balances.Work on special continuous improvement projects to resolve problems or generate productivity improvements.Skills and Qualifications RequiredAccounting DegreeExperience in private or public accountingProficiency in programs/systems such as Lease Query, Blackline, Excel, and Google SheetsCPA certification is a plusExperience with W-Desk (SOX compliance) and Cognos Controller (Consolidation)Experience with international accounting and exchange rate accountingKnowledge of new leasing standard ASC 842Work Environment
This role offers a hybrid work environment with in-office and work-from-home options. During non-quarter end periods, you can work from home on Mondays and Fridays. During month-end and quarter-end close weeks, onsite presence is expected. The typical work hours are Monday to Friday, from 7:00/8:30 AM to 4:00/5:30 PM. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
Time Off:
- PTO: 0-4 Years are accrued weekly to an annual total of 160 hours
- Holidays: 8 scheduled Holidays- standard major holidays and separate of PTO
