Corp VP, Finance Clinic Operations

Reporting to the SVP of Physician Services with a dotted line reporting relationship to the LCMC Health CFO, the Vice President Finance, Clinic Operations works closely and collaboratively with LCMC Health System physician group leaders, LCMC Health hospital leaders and leaders from LCMC Health corporate support services departments and is responsible for leading financial planning, operational analytics, budgeting (capital and operating), forecasting, physician contract modeling, and strategic business plan development related to these practices. Supervises analytics resources and supports major system-wide strategic initiatives and projects related to employed physician practices. Additionally, provides financial analytic and operations support related to various ambulatory development projects, service line initiatives, and joint ventures. Develops and presents status reports for System Growth and Governance committees.

Your Everyday 

Provide sound financial advice to senior leadership of LCMC Physician Services related to normal business operations, expansion opportunities (including the development of new practice locations and the hiring of new clinical providers) and strategic resource allocationDevelops and refines Physician compensation models to support LCMC Health’s strategic growth and financial goalsParticipates in creation and presentation of contracts to providersParticipates in discussions with LCMC Health leaders and providers focused on growth or expense resiliency initiativesIdentify opportunities for consistency and standardization that contribute toward market growth, revenue enhancement, cost containment and maximizing provider and staff productivityIn collaboration with other leaders, develop and/or reviews and makes recommendations regarding policies and proceduresContributes financial expertise in the planning of new services and ventures that generate additional sources of profitable revenue, including demand analysis, resource availability analysis, and cost-benefit analysisPrepare budgets and forecasts for employed physician groupsDevelop strategic business plans and financial proformasMonitor and reports on the effectiveness of revenue cycle and other corporate support services delivered on behalf of employed physician practicesEnsure that data used to drive strategic and operational decision making is accurate, actionable, and meaningfulRepresent LCMC Physician Services on various boards and committeesSummarizes and presents analytical findings for senior leadership with clear understanding of results and thoughtful recommendations.Leads engagements with various internal and external stakeholders to drive planning and decision making.Provide experience-based guidance on the operations and financial performance of employed physician groups as well as ambulatory joint ventures, and to serve as a collaborative leader.Provides mentorship, coaching and ongoing professional development for the team to maximize contribution from the team members.

 

The Must-Haves 
 
Minimum: 

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

15 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance with at least 7 years of related managerial experience

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in healthcare Administration, Finance or other related subject

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Demonstrated leadership and complex organizational management skillsAdept in fiscal management principles and processes, including resource management and needs assessmentStrong financial/analytical skills, verbal/written communication skills, problem identification and resolution skills, and decision- making abilityThe ability to work with physicians, staff and professionals in multiple settingsWell-developed planning, marketing, organizational development and business skills
