The Corian® manufacturing facility located in Buffalo, NY is searching for a Process Control Technology Leader, the ideal candidate will be an experienced individual contributor or manager, capable of performing complex and varied responsibilities. Additionally, the Process Control Technology Leader will provide guidance and coaching to groups and individuals in their area of responsibility.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Applies specialized professional knowledge about theoretical concepts and principles in process control and automation and is a sought after thought partner.Acts as advisor to Corian manufacturing sites and may become actively involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems.Has knowledge of best practices and how process automation and control integrate with operations, is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate the business/processes in the market.Guides and prioritizes the activities of individual contributors accountable for similar responsibilities and performing moderately diverse activities.Works independently and receives minimal guidance; contributes to and executes business, functional or product strategies.Impact of work reflects directly on the overall team for quality of process execution and responsiveness to business needs.Operates with latitude for action and decision-making; uses judgment to make decisions that affect own area of responsibility within the business/function.Solves technical or operational problems (with or without vague/unstructured aspects); takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.Leads the development of the Corian A&PC strategy and drives implementation of the most effective process control and on-line automatization technologies that are fully aligned with the business objectives. Assists in the development, prioritization, and allocation of resources consistent with the site needs and the Multi Generation Technology Plan (MGTP).Seeks opportunities to continually improve automation work processes, products, and services.Provides input for prioritization of Process Safety (PSM), Run and Maintain, Growth and Improve projects for the Corian sites working with the Technology Implementation Leaders (TIL’s)Coordinates and coaches’ groups of teams or individuals within a site/area and facilitates the development of individual and team stretch goals that set the competitive standard.Acts as a technical resource, mentor, and subject matter expert for the process automation and system integration portion of capital projects and plant technology improvement projects.Participates in project reviews that have A&PC scope. Ensures that technologies selected are implemented correctly, consistently, and efficiently through capital and expense projects.Takes the lead in automation and process control projects at the Yerkes site.Works with site IT and MES programming resources to enhance/maintain the MES.Participates in corporate A&PC teams and may represent the company at industry forums.Leads specific A&PC initiatives and works with operations to implement and ensure compliance (e.g., Alarm management, Cyber security) .Takes the lead in auditing compliance to internal process control standards and policies.Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or an equivalent degree.10 years of experience in a Manufacturing or Engineering function in the field of process control and automation.Knowledge of commercially available process automation systems (DCS, PLC’s, MES, etc.)Knowledge of PSM and safety instrumented functions.Experience of managing A&PC projects.Experience with leading root cause investigations.Experience with Rockwell PlantPAx, FTView, and associated Rockwell products and platforms.Experience with AspenTech IP.21 products.Experience with shop floor control systems, SQL databases, and integration with A&PC.Knowledge of basic IT and networking principles.#LI-IC1

The Pay range for this role is $123,480.00 - $194,040.00 Annual
